I’m lucky. I have all my Christmas gifts purchased and almost all of them are wrapped.
But if you’re looking for a last minute gift, as an author, I recommend books! Among the pile of glimmering gifts under my tree, there are six books and two awesome Harry Potter bookmarks (with film cells laminated into the bookmarks — so cool!)
You can get several ideas from our Blast Off! page–including a new picture book entry, The Big Adventures of Mr. Small by JoAnn Adinolfi. The Big Adventures of Mr. Small was recently included in the Children’s Book Council’s Seasonal Showcase.
If you’re shopping for young adults, check out Joyce Shor Johnson’s House of Girls or her middle grade novel The Casting. And my adult novel Dangerous Denial would appeal to fans of mystery/thrillers.
So whether you’re shopping for Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or a gift to give a party host on New Year’s Eve, a book is a sure winner.
